Hi Peter, I am not a computer expert, but before you buy a new operating system or partition your disk you should try running the program in compatibility mode.

Right click on your app the marklin program and a menu will appear. There is an item "troubleshoot compatibility". This will set parameters to allow a program from an earlier version to run on recent computer operating systems. It will cost you no money and should work in most but not all cases. If it doesn't work nothing is harmed. Compatibility mode will not help in this case.
