If you leave Autobrowse checked, sometimes the device will reappear in the Driver configuration. Once in a while I have had to repeat the top procedure. RSLinx seems very stubborn about getting rid of old devices Don't forget to backup your config when you are done. Now reopen RSLogix and that device should be gone.
Thanks All. Sorry for taking so long to check responses have been swamped. Ultimately, my goal is to remove from showing up in RSLogix. It looks like the post from "newpageboba" has some steps that I'll try. Glad to see that it wasn't a "dumb" Q in that the solution is nothing obvious.
Will let you know how it goes. The driver you have chosen will only talk to one device. If you have two ControlLogix ethernet modules, you would have to enter a whole new driver for the second module. Good Luck Russ, OG. Thanks again for the help, but it is still not working.
It will not allow me to set up a new driver for it either way. If you do not see either prompt option then select Accessories and you should find it there. Basically this is a command line utility that allows us to run old DOS commands. When the window opens type "ping" followed by the IP address you want to check.
For example: "ping If all is well you will get four messages that say "Reply from There is a little utility installed along with RSLinx, and accessible through the same path as the RSLinx application. Did RA Tech Support get a chance to help on this yet? The suggestion to disable the service on start up is not an option, it's required for my purposes. I got this workaround from Rockwell that did not work, because my language settings were already unchecked.
The solution has to be a typo. They tell me to adjust my language settings. User Action: If you still want to restart or shut down the computer, save any open files, close any applications that are running, and then you can, - Use either the graphical user interface GUI or the shutdown command again.
Uncheck all checkbox under the Languages tab. They are "Install files for complex script and right-to-left languages including Thai " and "Install files for East Asian languages". Reboot the computer. Try this
