I showed them how God could make my staff turn into a snake and how God could make my hand get a disease but then get better. After that, Aaron and I went to the palace to talk to Pharaoh. So, Pharaoh told the slave bosses to be even meaner to the Israelites. The next morning, Aaron and I went back to talk to Pharaoh. Aaron took my staff and threw it down on the ground and God turned into a snake. So, the next morning, Aaron and I went back to Pharaoh. Aaron hit the water of the river with his staff and all the water in Egypt turned into blood.
The fish in the river died and no one could drink any water. They were really annoying. Finally, Pharaoh asked us to pray for God to take away the frogs. This kept happening. God made gnats come and bother everyone. Next, God made all the cows in Egypt die, but let the cows that Israelites had live. Then, He made sores and a painful rash come out on all the Egyptians. Next, He made big hail fall on the Egyptians, like big rocks falling out of the sky.
After that, God made it totally dark for three days in Egypt. Nobody could see the sun or the moon or the stars for three days except for the Israelites. Finally, God told me to tell all the Israelites to kill a lamb and to put its blood on the doorframes of their front doors. That night, God sent His angel to kill all of the firstborn children in Egypt. The angel killed the oldest child in every house. Pharaoh woke up in the middle of the night and saw that even his oldest child had been killed by the angel.
Then he told me and the Israelites to leave right away. The other Egyptians even gave us money so that we would be nice to them and leave as fast as we could. None of the Egyptians wanted God to punish them any more. So in the middle of the night, I took all of the Israelites and left Egypt.
But we were happy because God had freed us from our slavery. That night, we camped by the sea. But, Pharaoh decided he wanted to chase us and bring us back to Egypt to be his slaves. Uploaded by Swizzley on January 11, Internet Archive's 25th Anniversary Logo.

The children will have to listen very carefully as the teacher will shout out the team name and which area to run to as a team. Only one team will be running to their area of the room at a time. Walls can be labels anything that the teacher desires for the two groups to run to when called out.
Place a long line of chairs in 2 rows for the children to run through with the back of the chairs faced inside the area children will walk or fun through. Children will line up and each child will put on a colored cloth on the head and take a "walking stick" and run through the "RED SEA" and then will bring the cloth and stick to the next child in the line up and children will continue to RUN thru the "RED SEA" until everyone has had an opportunity to do the "walk". Children can divide up into groups of two and take turns running to a wall, while one child carries another child on his back, using the bigger child on the bottom to carry a lighter weight child.
Give each child a piece of red construction paper and cut 2 inch slits on one of the long sides of the paper. Then have children roll each slit up and tape or glue to make the paper look a little like water rolling up. Children can write today's Bible verse or words from today's lesson on the paper. Children can also use blue paper for this, as water but the RED color will help them to remember the name of the sea and today's story, if desired.
